As flood waters recede, more Davenport streets are re–opening.
Crews are cleaning as the Mississippi river levels drop.
Right now, River Drive is open from Highway 22 to division.
As more roads open, public works will use street cleaners and deodorizers to clean up the dirt and smell.
"It's a slow process. We have to wait for the river to continually go down. Right now it's the mud and silt left on the streets, but we really can't do complete teardown until the river is off river drive and we can get the Hescos down and then we can do a full clean up,” said Wayne Czichas with the Davenport Streets Department.
