2 face meth, child endangerment charges

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Ops unit busted up a meth lab at a Long Grove mobile home this morning and arrested two residents who live there.

Acting on an ongoing investigation, officers from the QC Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the QC Gang Task Force and the Iowa Division of Narcotics enforcement raided the home of 38-year old Gary Behrens and 37-year-old Jennifer Jasper on 145th Avenue in Long Grove.

Both are in the Scott County Jail tonight awaiting court in the morning.

Officers seized three one-pot meth labs, a large amount of meth making materials and a 20-gauge shotgun and ammunition.

In addition to drug charges, Behrens faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm, a charge for which bond cannot be posted.

Jasper is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Both are also facing felony child endangerment charges.
