Red, White and Boom has lit up the Quad Cities riverfront from more than a decade.
In past year, flood waters forced some changes. This year, the weather has been just what they needed and officials are ready for the big celebration.
You can enjoy the free fireworks show at Modern Woodmen Park, LeClaire Park, and the Sky Bridge in Davenport. In Rock Island, some popular places include Schwiebert park and in the District.
Red, White and Boom will begin at 9:30 Saturday night.Fireworks will light up the sky and be synced with music. Red, White and Boom is the biggest fireworks show in the Quad Cities and with two barges setting off fireworks this year.
Organizers say in past years, weather has played a big factor in limiting the show but this year everything is going according to plan.
“The last two years. we’ve had to adjust how we’re doing things because the river was flooded so we’re excited that we’re able to stay on schedule this year,” said Jason Gilliland, director of events, Downtown Davenport Partnership.
