Quick action at a community swimming pool outside Columbus Junction might have saved a 5-year-old boy's life Thursday afternoon.
Columbus Junction police say the boy was out of the water and unresponsive when paramedics got there.
They performed CPR and he started to breathe on his own.
The boy was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital.
There's no word on his condition.
