Archery club starting in the QC

BETTENDORF, Iowa - Youth Shooting Sports Association will be kicking off an USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery
Development (JOAD) Club, the first in the Quad City area.

The Archery Team will be known as the Quad Cities Archers, and R&R Sports Inc. 3250 Fields Drive Bettendorf, IA 52722 has offered to be the team’s Home range. Quad Cities Archers will be involved in both indoor and outdoor archery throughout the year.

An informational meeting, and sign-up is being held at 6:00pm on Tuesday May 9 for beginning, intermediate archers and Thursday May12, for more advanced archers.

Parents and their youth between the ages of 8 to 23, grade school to college who are interested in an exciting sport that has few physical boundaries where there is a real opportunity to excel, should be at this informational meeting.

Also motivated adults & parents with the drive & want to get involved in our volunteer coaching and instructing staff are urged to also attend this informational meeting.

Youth Shooting Sports Association believes it is important to train area youth in the safe and ethical use of firearms and bows. Through our exciting, nationally recognized programs, highly trained & insured coaches, guide youth step by step through the fundamentals of safe gun and bow handling, marksmanship, equipment care & cleaning, and the opportunity to compete in nationally accredited amateur competitions.

USA Archery is a feeder program to the USA
Olympic and Para Olympic teams.
