The Rock Island Arsenal will play a role in protecting the President.

Starting tomorrow the U.S. Secret Service and the National Park Service will begin installing a temporary anti-climb feature to the White House's fence.

The removable sharp pointed feature will be made at the Rock Island Arsenal's Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center.  The project is expected to take about six weeks.

The anti-climb feature will be temporary while various federal agencies work to develop a long-term design that is expected to begin construction in 2016.

Personnel from JMTC are in Washington, D.C. to assist with the installation.
