Burned dog found by Public Works in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Davenport police officers were dispatched to the area of Miller Avenue and South Concord Avenue on Wednesday at 10:56 a.m. to meet with Public Works employees who located a deceased dog.

The dog was determined to be partially burned and thought to have been dumped sometime overnight. Police and Animal Control officers determined that no identifying factors (licensing tags, animal ID chip etc.) of the dog, or the potential owner could be determined. The breed of the dog was believed to be a Rottweiler.
