Local businesses got some recognition Thursday night at the Community Impact Awards Celebration.
"They bring an entrepreneur spriit. A lot of these are small businesses that are headed by people in the community, employ people in the community, and they push their business models forward in a way that creates a vibrant sense of place," said Aiden Landman, Young Professionals of the Quad Cities.
The Young Professionals Network and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce gave awards to local businesses that make the Quad Cities a better community to live.
Awards were given for the best place to work, the 2015 'Hot Spot,' next generation engagement, and the regional vitality award among others.
Local 4 is a proud sponsor of the Community Impact Awards.
