ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Traffic is back to normal at this hour after a cement truck rollover crash blocked traffic on i-280 in rock island earlier today.
The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office says the driver was heading east near Jumer's Casino around 10:00 a.m. at the time of the incident. Deputies say the driver told them he felt the truck swaying and then lost control. Crews were forced to shut down traffic to clean up spilled cement. Investigators believe a mechanical malfunction may be to blame. The driver was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
