Talk is mounting again to cut the size of the Rock Island County board.
Members will hold a public forum Wednesday about the budget and restructuring of the board.
That could include downsizing from 25 to 15 members and streamlining the committee structure. Some board members are optimistic the measures will pass.
"They do see the big picture. They realize it's more about their self interests. It's about delivering the best possible government for the people we serve," said Kai S. Swanson, Rock Island County board member.
The forum starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 10th at the Rock Island County building.
