Charges filed in pedestrian death

MOLINE, Ill. - The driver who hit and killed a Moline pedestrian has been charged in connection with his death.

The accident happened on December 12, 2016.  That morning a man was walking in the 2600 block of 6th Avenue, pushing a bicycle, when he was struck by a Chevy van.

The man, identified as 63-year-old Robert Moldenhauer, was taken to Illini Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

On Friday Kristianna Granada was charged with two counts of reckless homicide.

Granada is in the Rock Island County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
