Charges filed in Walmart incident

CLINTON, Iowa - One man is under arrest after a chase that caused the Clinton Walmart to be locked down and evacuated.

Around 9 o'clock Thursday morning agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation were trying to apprehend Jacob Dau, 33, of Clinton at the Wild Rose Casino for a number of warrants.

Dau fled from the casino and ran into the Walmart.  Officers surrounded the store and escorted employees and customers out of the building.

Once everyone was out, officers searched the store and found Dau hiding in a merchandise display.

Dau is charged with unauthorized possession of an offensive weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, domestic abuse, and failure to appear on driving without a license, no insurance, and eluding.
