CornCon hit the Quad Cities Saturday, but corn wasn't the focus at this convention- it was all about cyber security.
The all-day convention was held at St. Ambrose University, featuring expert speakers talking about a wide range of cyber security subjects; From ISIS' online activity to social engineering.
But the day wasn't just for grown-ups; Some young web wizards took part with activities like lock picking, soldering kits, and Minecraft programming, teaching kids to use their 'hacking powers' for good, while enjoying a little family time.
"Getting to spend a lot of time with my father, getting to program, and I'm having pretty much a lot of fun," said Alex Williams, who attended the event.
2015 was the first year of CornCon, but organizers say they plan to continue in future years.
