Davenport police write more than 100 tickets on opening day of school

The number is specifically for violations in school zones

Local police have been busy writing tickets to start the school year.

Davenport police say they issued more than 100 citations for violations in school zones. That was during the first day of school on Tuesday alone.  A tweet from the department Thursday reminded drivers to slow down to avoid adding to that number.
