In a typical October, we pick up 2.97" of rain.
So far this month, we're only at 1.53" officially in the Quad Cities. Of that, 1.47" (96%) fell back on October 6th and 7th.
While that's great for farmers harvesting their crops, it's getting rather dry.
A storm system will approach the area later today and spotty showers will be breaking out. Our best chance of rain arrives tonight and Wednesday.
Most locations will pick up between one-half to one inch of rain.
After that, we dry out for the rest of the week into the weekend. Halloween is looking dry, as well.
