East Moline teacher back in class

Educator taken out of class for controversial tweet is back to teaching

EAST MOLINE, Ill. - A Quad Cities teacher taken out of the classroom because of a controversial tweet went back to teaching Monday.

Mark Kaczmarek's return to United Township High School in East Moline came after being kept away from students for a few days.

He got in trouble for a post on twitter that congratulated the women's march on Washington.

Followed by a 1950's picture that indicated the women then all went home to make dinner.

His post prompted online petitions for and against him.

District Superintendent Jay Morrow confirmed to Local 4 News that Kaczmarek resumed his normal duties.

Morrow didn't comment on the investigation into Kaczmarek's activity.
