Families evacuate after flooding

A total of four people were evacuated just after midnight Tuesday

In Coal Valley along Route 150 high water levels around Coal Creek left some stranded in high water.
Authorities tell Local 4 News just after midnight Tuesday morning the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 14000 block of Route 150 to help the Coal Valley and Colona fire department because of rising waters from the creek. Police say a total of four people from two different houses were evacuated and no one was seriously hurt. The Red Cross is assisting at least one of the families at this time.
