Fighting the opioid crisis in Illinois

New law gives access to information

ILLINOIS -  A new Illinois law is designed to give families better access to information about drugs. 
 
It's part of the state's attempt to combat the nationwide opioid crisis.The law requires the Illinois Human Services Department to expand drug outreach by creating an educational website about heroin and opioid use. 
 
The online resource will include information about warning signs, treatment and referral services for drug addiction.
