Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert faces new allegation of sexual abuse

Lawsuit claims incident happened in the early 1970's

KENDALL COUNTY, Ill. - Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert is facing another allegation of sexual abuse.

It came from a lawsuit filed Friday in Illinois, the same state he once represented in Washington, D.C. Included are claims that Hastert forced himself on a nine or ten-year-old boy in a high school bathroom in the early 1970's. Hastert was a wrestling coach at the time.

According to the suit, Hastert warned the boy against reporting the attack by saying Hastert's father was the sheriff and would jail the boy if he told. Hastert is currently behind bars serving a 15-month sentence for covering up hush money payments to another victim.
