Free HIV testing in QC for World AIDS Day

Tuesday, Dec. 1st marks World AIDS Day. It's a time to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and prevention.
The Moline-Davenport Delta Sigma Theta Alumni chapter and Community Healthcare in Rock Island teamed up to give free tests.
" It's very important to find out what your HIV status is. early detection is very important in the care of a person who may find out they're HIV positive, so just knowing your status that you can be in healthy relationships with people," said Raslyn Sweet, Moline Delta Sigma Theta Alumni. 
According to an estimated 34 million people worldwide have the virus, and more than 35 million people have died since it was identified in 1984.
