Golf for Youth Tournament Tuesday aims to help local kids

Event helps YouthHope put on summer camps

COAL VALLEY, Ill. - A special game of golf Tuesday in Coal Valley, Illinois will help two local organizations.

YouthHope Development Director Hannah Carr jouined us in studio to talk more about the 21st Annual Golf for Youth Tournament. It benefits Friendly House and YouthHope, both Quad City Community Youth Non-Profit Organizations. YouthHope serves grades K-12th in the Moline and Rock Island Youth Centers, and Camp Summit. Friendly House works with ages 2-12 and their main office is in Davenport. The QC Optimist Clubs are hosting the 21st Annual Golf for Youth Tournament tomorrow. It's at the Oakwood County Club that's off of Highway 6 in Coal Valley, Illinois. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch beginning at 11. The golfing gets underway at noon.
