IL funds go to tornado hit towns

IL Comptoller releases hundreds of thousands of dollars to hard hit areas

The Illinois comptroller has stepped in to help those affected by Tuesday's tornadoes. Comptroller Susana Mendoza's office released funds to Illinois communities struck by the tornadoes.

Those include the towns of Crossville, Naplate and Ottawa.

The office also released more than $200,000 in payments to the LaSalle county nursing home, which was damaged in the storm.

There's also a GoFundMe page where you can donate to raise money for families in Crossville who lost their homes to the storm.
