What the Illinois Attorney General is doing to help.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -
As voters head to the polls, the important thing is making sure everything runs smoothly.
That's why the Illinois Attorney General is monitoring elections throughout the state. More than 100 investigators will make sure ballots are processed correctly.
They'll also cross check signatures and encourage voters to be familiar will their polling locations.
"Our process of Democratic voting is reliant upon that when we have a result it's a result that's accurate and that the public accepts, and by having more and more agencies involved and watching what we're doing and how we do it is a great positive move," said Don Gray, Sangamon County Clerk.
Investigators will also be at polling locations to help with the process.
