SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Illinois Senator Daniel Biss is the latest democrat to launch a campaign for Governor.
Biss currently represents the state's ninth district. That includes the city of Evanston north of Chicago.
Biss says his campaign platform will focus on taking the state back from "wealthy and insider interests."
He made his announcement on Facebook and promises to change the state's constitution to make the wealthy pay more income taxes.
He joins a Democratic primary group that includes Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar, businessman Chris Kennedy, school district superintendent Bob Daiber and business owner Alex Paterakis.
