Iowa Governor waits to get final clearance

Branstad moves closer to next job

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Iowa Governor Terry Branstad is expected to get the final clearance to be the next U.S. Ambassador to China on Monday. 
 
The full Senate is scheduled to hold a vote at 4:30 p.m. CT on Monday. 
 
Branstad is expected to easily be confirmed and secure the job.
