No IL budget deal, flooding road closures, Rudy auditions, Senior Olympics

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Stories we're following at Local 4 News:

 

For the third year in a row, Illinois lawmakers ended their spring session without approving a budget, but they did approve an overhaul of the way the state doles out money for public schools. Watch here.  

 

Davenport police say the body of 35-year-old Brandon Brooks of Rock Island was found around 4:30 Tuesday morning on West Denison Avenue. An autopsy will determine how he died. Police are treating the case as a homicide.

 

You'll want to be careful if you drive along the river in Moline. Part of Riverfront Drive is closed because of flooding from 23rd Street to 55th Street. The river is about two feet above flood stage. Details.  

 

Opening ceremonies for the Quad Cities Senior Olympics takes place this afternoon at the Martin Luther King, Junior Center in Rock Island. The annual competition features archery, cycling, track and field, and dozens more. It runs through tomorrow. For info, click here.
