An East Moline man accused of assaulting a Moline police officer has pleaded guilty as part of a negotiated plea.
Austin Clenney pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated battery of a peace officer and aggravated battery of a peace officer.
An officer was injured during a struggle after responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle.
During the altercation, Clenney broke free and was arrested more than a week later in Eldridge.
Clenney was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by a year probation.
