Man charged with robbery, assault

Deputies say suspect was wearing GPS tracker from previous crime

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A man was charged Tuesday with first degree robbery and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon in connection with an incident Monday at a convenience store in Mount Joy.

Seith Keith, 30, was located in Davenport after being identified by a Scott County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Officer while analyzing surveillance video. 

Deputies say Keith was on parole and wearing a GPS tracker. 

They found and arrested him on Tuesday. 

The Scott County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a robbery at the Mt. Joy BP at 21010 Brady Street around 9 p.m. Monday. The suspect displayed a knife and physically assaulted an employee of the business, before leaving without getting any money.
