Missing area teen found safe in Minnesota

Anna Racine, 14, and Morgan Burcham, 21, were found by authorities in Luverne

A missing teen from Bureau County, Illinois has been found safe.

Anna Racine, 14, and Morgan Burcham, 21, were found by authorities in Luverne, Minnesota.

Deputies found Burcham's vehicle at a Super 8 motel in the city.

While they waited for backup, the vehicle left that location. It was stopped a short time later and both were found inside.

Burcham's dad reached out to the Bureau County Sheriff's office about an hour before that situation played out.

He said they had visited a former relative in that area.

So far no charges have been filed.

EARLIER UPDATE

Bureau County Sheriff Jim Reed issued a press release asking the public for help finding a missing 14-year-old girl who might be traveling with a 21-year-old man.

Anna Racine is described as 5-foot-4 with brown hair and hazel eyes. She went missing from her Bureau County residence on Monday between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. She might be carrying a red Hall High School bag and could be with Morgan Burcham, a 21-year-old, 5-foot-11 man with black hair and blue eyes, driving a 2008 silver Pontiac G6 bearing Illinois license plate N519264

If located, the sheriff advises to notify his office or call 911.
