Morning 4: Davenport shooting, Mills Chevrolet redevelopment, Costco vote, military horse therapy

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Stories we're following at Local 4 News on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 


+ Davenport police are investigating an early morning shooting on the 1100 block of W. Locust. Police do not have a suspect. The victim's condition is unknown. Latest


+ We should know in the next few weeks who will move into the former Mills Chevrolet site in Moline across from South Park Mall. Developers hope to turn it into a commercial and retail space, and build two new buildings next to it. Carie Kuehn reports


+ Davenport's city council will vote tonight on a second consideration on plans to build a new Costco on 53rd Street. City leaders have been supportive of the project., while some residents though have expressed concerns - mostly over increased traffic.


+ Sundance for our Soldiers, or S.O.S., is providing free horse therapy for active military, reserves, and veterans this weekend. There's no horseback riding, instead participants are in charge of guiding the horses. The workshop is this Sunday, July 13th in Milan. You must notify the group by tomorrow if you need transportation. Details

HOT TOPIC: Starting in January, Illinois public and charter schools will have to provide a private room for moms who are breast-feeding, and to have a place mothers can store their milk.
