Morning 4: River Drive crash, Quad Citians in Vegas, murder trial jury selection, burn ban

BETTENDORF, Iowa - Stories we're following this Tuesday, October 3, 2017 

+ Police are investigating a three vehicle crash on River Drive before 7 this morning near the Bettendorf-Davenport border. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Details.

+ Some Quad Cities residents who were in Las Vegas during Sunday's deadly mass shooting are sharing their stories. They say they are fortunate to be back home and that an incident like this really makes you appreciate everyday even more. Briana Collier reports.

+ Jury selection continues today in the murder trial of a man accused of killing his parents in Davenport a year ago. 21-year-old Sean Freese is charged with two counts of first degree murder. Prosecutors expect to finish seating the jury today.

+ A burn ban due to dry conditions goes into effect today from several local fire departments. That includes Cordova, Hillsdale, Port Byron, and Rapid City. The ban will remain in effect until further notice. 

ICYMI: Investigators may have new clues into the disappearance of Trudy Appleby, 21 years ago. A dig on Campbell's Island did not include human remains, but numerous other items that will be processed for evidence. Redrick Terry reports.
