New firefighters ready to serve Davenport

Four new Davenport firefighters sworn in

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Four new firefighters are ready for duty in Davenport.

They were sworn in during Wednesday night's city council meeting.

Collin Boldt, Korrine Israel, Ben Nagle and Nickolas Ulloa are the newest life savers.

Davenport's interim fire chief says they have a bright future ahead of them.

"Their future is wide open. Their opportunities are endless within the fire department because there are so many different directions they can go from fire investigation to hazardous materials to medical paramedics," says Chief Jim Beckford.

All four got clearance after passing an eight week training program.
