NWS confirms Friday night EF-1 tornado in Fulton, IL

Tornado winds of 105mph do damage in Fulton, IL

FULTON, Ill. - Local 4 and Fox 18 offered continuing coverage of tornado producing severe t'storms on Friday night, and the National Weather Service has now confirmed an EF-1 tornado did damage in Fulton, IL.

The tornado touched down at 7:19 p.m. and was on the ground for about 7 minutes. 

The tornado started close to the Mississippi River and eventually passed just south of Fulton Country Club.

The tornado damaged garages, an outbuilding and numerous trees along it's 3.7 mile long path.

It was 150 yards wide and had winds of 105mph.

Crop damage was also reported but no injuries were reported.
