NWS confirms 25 mile path of damage from Monday night tornado in Davenport

EF-2 tornado causes damage in Davenport

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Meteorologists with the National Weather Service have now confirmed a tornado in NW Davenport on Monday night.

This twister is rated EF-2 and had winds up to 120 miles per hour.

The tornado damaged power poles, trees, outbuildings and numerous farm buildings.  One house lost its roof.

This tornado was on the ground from Muscatine county into the Northern part of Scott county.

No injuries were reported from the tornado.  

The damage path was as wide as 1000 yards at times.  

Local 4 Chief Meteorologist Andy McCray and meteorologists Ashe Simpson and Anthony Peoples were live on-air broadcasting weather safety info the entire time this tornado was on the ground.
