One of our coldest Halloweens ever in the Quad Cities

Chilly night for trick-or-treat

QUAD CITIES - Today's high of 41° makes this the coldest Halloween we've had in the Quad Cities in more than 20 years!

The last time we had a high colder than today on October 31st was back in 1996 when it only got up to 40°.  We also had a high of 41° on Halloween in 2002.

The featured image shows the coldest highs for this date since weather records have been kept in the Quad Cities.  Our climate stats go back to the early 1870s.

For those keeping track, 2017's Halloween high would be in a tie for 9th coldest of all time.

November looks to get off to a slightly warmer start.  Highs for most of the first 10 days in the month will be in the 50s.  The normal high right now is in the upper 50s by the way.
