Pence comes to Iowa

Saturday the VP was campaigning for Senator Joni Ernst

DES MOINES, Iowa - Vice President Mike Pence made a stop in Iowa Saturday. 

Pence was at the Roast and Ride event in Des Moines campaigning for Republican Senator Joni Ernst. 

The VP arrived at the event on a Harley motorcycle.

While in Des Moines, he spoke abut immigration, abortion, the United States withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, tax reform, and President Trump's accomplishments.  

"President Trump has been busy building our military, restoring the arsenal of democracy. In Congress, in fact, under the president's leadership, and with [Senator Ernst's] support, just passed the largest increase in military spending in nearly ten years," Pence said. 

Pence also talked about Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, and his efforts to help place Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.
