Police say man broke into woman's home; was found under her bed

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A Davenport man is in custody, charged with burglary and stalking felonies after police say he broke into a woman's home.

On Thursday officers responded to a call of criminal damage to a home in the 5100 block of Fairmount Street.

While officers were checking out a broken window, they found Cameron Singleton, 39, hiding under the woman's bed holding a double bladed pocket knife.

Singleton was disarmed and when officers searched him, they say they found the woman's property in his pockets.

The victim has a protection order against Singleton, who is in the Scott County Jail on a $31,000 cash-only bond.
