The Moline Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving a cold case.
Twenty six years ago today, Jerry Wolking was last seen leaving the residence of a female acquaintance. Jerry was never seen or heard from after that. Jerry’s vehicle was located a few days later at the Quad City airport and evidence was recovered from the vehicle.
Significant progress has been made on Jerry’s case over the last few years with biological and fingerprint evidence recovered and examined. The Moline Police Department has also conducted forensic geological testing on evidence recovered from Wolking’s vehicle. Detectives worked with Dr. Mike Wolf of Augustana College and then-student Grant Wick, who helped significantly in the case.
Several witnesses and those with information regarding the Jerry Wolking disappearance have come forward which has been significant in piecing this puzzle together.
Investigators are still missing the last few pieces and ask that anyone with information to please come forward and give the Wolking family the closure they deserve.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Jerry Wolking is asked to contact the Moline Police Department at 309-524-2140 or Crime Stoppers at 309-762-9500.
