It was an evening of prayer in Davenport all to remember the victims of that deadly church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina less than two weeks ago.

Church congregations across the Quad Cities marked the tragedy with a prayer vigil.

Pastors of all denominations spoke to a crowd of about 30.

Mayor Bill Gluba was among them.

Pastor Ronald Chambers of Davenport's Bethel AME Church led the prayer and called this a time for healing and understanding.
