QC kids make most of Mud Day

St. Ambrose Children's Campus got dirty to learn what ties us together

Some Quad Cities kids played in the mud in the name of education Thursday.

Kids at St. Ambrose Children's Campus got dirty to learn what ties us together on International Mud Day.

It's about helping kids around the world understand the importance of caring for the planet.

That included making mud pies and mud paintings.

"I was sitting down in it and taking baths in it and ummm, putting my toes in it," Tamera Mayes Phillips said.

Kids also enjoyed a mud river and made mud footprints.
