The Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa officially starts Sunday.
Riders started rolling into Glenwood, Iowa Saturday, the first stop on this year's ride. Bikers will pedal from there to Muscatine , making a nearly 420-mile trek across the state. This year's course is actually the third-shortest in RAGBRAI's 44-year history.
The riders have been training for months. Many say the challenge is fun, but it's the fun and friendships they make, that keep them coming back, year after year
