People from the Quad Cities got to hear from county supervisor and sheriff candidates today during a panel discussion between four Scott County supervisor candidates. They are competing for two open seats on the county board.
Residents also heard from the two sheriff candidates. Organizers like Pryce Boeye says its a chance for disenfranchised voters to make a difference locally.
"We've heard a lot of people running around saying they may not vote this year because they've been a little disgruntled with the choices for president at the top of the ticket. I encourage everybody to vote. If you want to leave that office open, by all means, but we definitely need people to weigh in on these local offices, they're terribly important to the day to day future of our community"
The topics discussed include how to improve business climate transportation and infrastructure, as well as education.
