Rock Island High School students start homecoming with a blood drive

Nearly 100 units of blood collected

Rock Island High School kicked off homecoming week by paying it forward.

The school held a blood drive Monday to start the festivities. Students donated close to 100 units of blood at the event. It is one of three blood drives the school has each academic year. The school's homecoming parade is this Friday.
