The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Toy Drive started Friday in the Quad Cities.
Coordinators say about 1,500 families are depending on the annual drive.
You're invited to head down to SouthPark or NorthPark Mall and add a child your Christmas list.
Donations are taken to the Salvation Army's toy shop. That's where parents can shop for their children.
Families also receive a box of food with ingredients to make a Christmas Dinner.
"Parents are just wide-eyed. They just cannot believe what they're getting for their children and it's amazing every year, the stories that we hear from these grateful parents," said Patti Mixdorf, volunteer and event coordinator. "It's very heartwarming and heartbreaking sometimes at the same time, but what's beautiful about it is, when they leave, they have toys for their children."
The Angel Tree Toy Drive runs through Dec. 14th
