Quad Citians are also shopping for the less fortunate this holiday season.

The freight house farmer's market is hosting a "Share the Love" food drive every Saturday this month.

They're accepting non-perishable food donations, and all of the food goes to a local food pantry, and Cafe on Vine.

Folks behind the donation drive say it helps many QC families who are struggling.

"People don't know this, but we do have a lot of families that are either unemployed, unable to work, we have kids that are out there that aren't able to get enough food, as well as their family in general," said Katie Geesey.

The drive will run again from 8 to one the next two Saturdays' at freight house farmer's market.

Aside from non-perishable food, they also take cash donations.
