Former Rhythm City Casino barge could have a new home by May

Two cities interested in taking the barge

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Owners of the Rhythm City Casino Barge say it should be out of Davenport by the end of May.

The city of Clinton passed on the barge last week, but now Fort Madison and Keokuk are looking into it.

The casino would be donating the barge to the interested party.

There is a backup plan if neither of those places works out. Living Lands and Waters is willing to take the boat and would move it to Saint Louis.

The owners say that is an option but they would like to see a city in eastern Iowa use the barge.
