October temperatures are still running about seven degrees above average in the Quad Cities.
Our weather will be cooling down for the next couple of days before warmer than average temperatures return this weekend into much, if not all, of next week.
Highs today will be in the 50s north to low-60s south.
As skies clear out, this will set the stage for a chilly night with lows in the lower half of the 30s. Frost is likely Friday morning.
After another chilly day with highs only in the 50s Friday we warm back to the upper-60s Saturday and low-70s by Sunday.
Highs next week will generally be in the mid-to-upper-60s.
Dry weather is expected through Tuesday.
