Henderson County, Illinois - Two people have died after a head-on crash Friday night in Henderson County, Illinois.
In a release, Illinois State Police said it happened after 11:30 p.m. April 13 on Carman Road, less than a mile south of U.S. Route 34. That's just east of Golf Port.
State Police said the driver of a Kia was heading south on Carman Road when it crossed the center line into northbound traffic.
A collision then occurred with another car according to police.
The two drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, and the names are being withheld pending family notification.
State Police said seat belts were used and there were no passengers in the cars.
Multiple agencies assisted the State Police including Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Gladstone Fire Department, Gladstone Ambulance, Gulfport Police Department, Illinois Department of Transportation, Henderson County Coroner’s Office and Burlington Fire Department/EMS.
