Veterans get free dental care in Moline

Aspen Dental locations all over the country offer free services Saturday

MOLINE, Ill. - Veterans across the country and right here in the Quad Cities are getting help with dental care Saturday.

Nearly 450 Dental Aspen practices provided thousands of veterans with free services.

It's the companies Fourth Annual Day of Service.

Veterans can receive  everything from fillings to basic dental repairs at no cost.

Coordinators say they do it to help millions of vets who don't have health insurance.

"It helps out a whole lot, it really does. you know to be a veteran and Aspen Dental to come in and help the veterans that can't provide dental care. It makes me feel good that I can come here and get my dental care every year," said Veteran Johnnie Jones.

"If you think about the duty that all of these patients have to their country, there's so much that they deserve and sometimes they don't get the benefit of coming in and getting all of these services done. So, it means a lot to me to be able to take care of people. I think that it's a basic human right that you have, everybody deserves to smile, everybody deserves to be pain free," said Dr. Michelle Goh, Aspen Dental Dentist.

Aspen Dental has four local practices in Burlington, Davenport, Muscatine and Moline.
