Investigators say a fire that damaged a Rock Island home was intentionally set.

The fire happened at a home in the 900 block of 15th Avenue early on the morning of January 25th.  No one was home at the time, but the home suffered thousands of dollars worth of damage.

The Rock Island police and fire departments worked together on the case. Investigators say Dominique Pitts of Moline set the fire.

Pitts is charged with residential arson and could spend 4 to 15 years in prison if convicted.
